Four Leopard cubs in jeopardy

Lekhanath: Newly born four Leopard cubs are in vulnerable situation in Lekhanath Municipality of Kaski district. A Leopard had delivered four cubs 3 days ago near Shivaraj Poudel’s resident in Lekhanath. But unfortunately, the mother Leopard left the cubs at the birth place. As a result, the cubs are deprived of food and the local people are teasing and creating unfavorable state to the cubs.

Considering the pitiful condition of the animals, Animalrightsnepal.org has given the pressure to the district forest office, Kaski and police of local area for the safety of the cubs. District forest officer Nanikaji KC and the local police have pledged for serious action for the safety of the abandoned cubs.

  2. I doubt if the mother leopard is been killed by poachers otherwise its uncommon that a leopard leaves her cubs that way.
