In recent years, rhino preservation is being very critical in Nepal. One horn rhinos are being poached mostly for medicinal purpose in East Asia where such horns’ demand is very high. As per the recent data, at least 15 rhinos were poached with in the period of latest one year in Nepal. Three rhinos faced natural death within this period.
A rhino which died after 15 days of its horn was cut away by poachers in Chitwan National Park, remained very tragic news regarding a rhino preservation campaign.
Recent data shows that 9 rhinos were killed in Chitwan National Park, 5 in Bardiay National Park and one was in suklafat. But there were 612 rhinos in Nepal in the year of 2000. After five years in 2005 there were only 372 rhinos appeared in the Nepali land. Rhinos are endangered animal in the world but after 2000, the preservation task is being very tough. National park authorities accused the government of not supporting to save the rhinos. Let’s stop Rhino poaching. Save Rhinos life save eco-system.
