Stop Killing Animals

Pokhara Sub-metropolitan killed more then two dozens dogs feeding poisonous meat in Pokhara 6 Baidam last week. “Street dogs create disturbance to the people and non-vaccinated dogs tend to attack and bite people. So, we killed the dogs,” said sub-metropolitan officer Uttam Prasad Nagila. “Street dogs might be infected with rabies and pose dangers to the people. So, we have no other option but to kill them,” Nagila added.

People are against killing dogs. Ananda KC, a resident of Baidam, Pokhara said that rampant killing of street dogs without conducting proper tests for rabies should be stopped.
“Killing animals in such a cruel manner is criminal” said Yubaraj Timilsina, a resident of Pokhara sub-metropolitan city said. We human have sense. We can think what is good and what is wrong. “Killing of animals by poisoning them is nonsense,” Timilsina added.
We animalrightsnepal.com team are extremely disheartened that the Pokhara sub-metropolitan is killing dogs. We tried our best to stop these killings but our efforts went in vain. Pokhara sub-metropolitan should stop killing dogs. Animal also have rights to live in this beautiful earth. Nepal Government should make policy for animal rights.
